The Moscow Marathon, successor of the MIPM (Moscow International Peace Marathon) has been held in Moscow since 1981. In the early 1990’s, this marathon gathered a record number of participants – 18 thousand people, but as the years go by its popularity faded. In 2012, only 2,800 participants ran the marathon (including at the distance of 10 km). The Moscow Marathon was created in order to revive running movement in Russia and to attract a new, young audience. In order to engage the audience and show as running can be not only healthy, but also joyful, a series of the Moscow Marathon races with thematic starts at different distances have been created. So the following has appeared: the First race, Colorful, Night and Musical, Moscow half-marathons. Five years later, the organizers achieved fourfold increase in participants and now the Marathon has the youngest audience in the world.
The Berlin Marathon is traditionally held in the last weekend of September. Along with the London, New York and Chicago marathons, the Berlin-Marathon is considered as one of the most massive (40,000 runners) and the fastest in the world (by the average time of the first ten participants). Numerous world records were repeatedly set at the distance in Berlin.
We wish our employees stay the distance during training and success at the marathons!!!
