Meeting of leaders of three McDonald's markets - Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia was held near Moscow

Heads of SPP LLC (Russia), Food Solutions KZ LLP (Kazakhstan) and KSB Victory Restaurans (Belarus) came to the meeting. The main issues of the meeting were the discussion of the results of the previous year and the plans of the three markets for 2018.

For McDonald’s Kazakhstan, as the youngest market for the international chain of fast food restaurants, last year was marked by new discoveries and bright events.

In 2017 the first restaurant in Kostanay was opened. This city was the third in Kazakhstan, after Astana and Almaty, where McDonald’s is.

Toward the end of last year, a restaurant was opened with the first McCafé in Kazakhstan – the famous international coffee shop chain.

By the end of 2017, Kazakhstan opened the doors of 11 McDonald’s restaurants in total.

McDonald’s continues the world tradition of socially responsible company. In 2017, with the financial support of the company in Almaty, a children’s playground and an alley were constructed. Investments in the project amounted to about 36 million tenge. McDonald’s also supported the National Paralympic Committee and Meiirim – Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children and Teenagers.

For the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana, McDonald’s provided more than 40 000 free lunches for 1500 volunteers in the amount over 40 million tenge. The company was awarded the status of Gold Partner in Astana and received the Recommended by EXPO 2017 award.

For the high level of hospitality, the Kazakhstan McDonald’s received the status of Recommended by Universiade. This high award was presented to the company from the World Winter Universiade, which was held in Almaty last winter.

The plans for the current year are even more ambitious: opening of the first restaurant in Aktobe, the launch of new products: sandwiches, drinks and desserts, development of a budget-friendly platform “All for 350 tenge” and Rolls (McWrap), activation of a global partnership with FIFA 2018 and charity events.
